MEMBERS & ATTENDERS
The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) is a community of faith based on experience of the Divine. Both members of our community and attenders come from different walks of life, and we appreciate and love the diversity of our Meeting. We all come together in our faith and belief that we can have an inward, immediate experience of God.
Friends have no dogma nor officially mandated doctrine. We believe that continuing revelation of the Divine is available to everyone. However, we value certain principles known as testimonies. These include simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship (S.P.I.C.E.S). Friends try to embody and live up to these testimonies in all aspects of their lives.
Persons who feel drawn to do so are welcome to attend meeting for worship. Information is available at the meetinghouse in written pamphlets to assist those who wish to inquire about becoming a member. Consideration for membership is open to any person who is moved to apply through a written inquiry addressed to the Clerk of the Meeting.
